The social network

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “The Social Network.”

Though I have started to use social media mainly in 2007, I am not very used to it. The thing with social media today is that there is a huge variety of web sites that are not only getting enormous in number but also they are constantly updated. You have get used to the dashboard and the way this social media or the other work and then it is changed with new items or options.

To be honest I often use Facebook, twitter, and many other kinds of social media. I usually use them, because, they have become part of our daily routines. I mean checking your e-mail, your instagram, or your Facebook messages is something that starts to take hours from our lives, right ? For this reason, I have narrowed down my uses for social media and started to use a few of them.

Many of may friends and relatives use social media. What I like it most is this page on Facebook that my cousins and I have made. All the cousins, uncles, and ants who are also using this social media are gathered together. It is really good, because, we can share and exchange pictures. And,what’s important to check on each other and know how things are going, especially when you have relatives who live abroad or far away from you.

All Grown Up

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “All Grown Up.”

I don’t really remember when was the first time I felt like a grown up.But, I can only assume that when I moved to live and study in the capital I came to realize that it was time to be responsible for myself.

When I succeeded in the Baccalaureate back than in the 2010, I moved to Tunis the capital of Tunisia where I lived a whole year in the dorm. I believe that when you found yourself alone, you started actually to think like a grown up and started to take responsibility for yourself. I had to say that the first three months were rough and very confusing; coming from a small town to a larger city with all the people, new living style, and managing yourself with new utilities and public transportation was something challenging.

It is these situations and circumstances that has to be fall upon us that make us stronger, more responsible, and mature.Today, I can say with more confidence that I am lucky to meet people and be in situations that have made my mind grow on a large-scale, experiences that has made me more mature, and challenges that I won’t stop to face.

A conversation with a book on the desk

Today’s prompt; Ready, Set, Done

Today, write about anything — but you must write for exactly ten minutes, no more, no less.

I said hi to the book on my desk,

and the picture of the lady on the front cover looks pale

I said I have to read your book, travel along your story

and get to know each other; merely I will know you more

I said you probably lived in an other time or place

and you have no idea about my time or my place

I said I hope your biography doesn’t comprises a loving affair

for I can tell from what you wear that your time dealt so much with this particular affair

And no, Jane Eyre  had no loving affair, but a mysterious despair that she had to declare.images (1)
